Hi I have the above caravan which has audio connections inside near the tv point ,what I would like to know can you plug a tv into the audio connections to get sound from the speakers that supply music from the radio, as i have no shecmatic (not sure thats how u spell that but Im sure you will guess what I mean )diagram Im lost ?please
Hello! We had a Challenger 540 2007 and all I know is that we had the combined radio and DVD player. When we connected the cable from the audio connections you mention to the TV for DVD viewing the sound came through the speakers.Does this help?!!!
We have an Avondale... might be the same... ! There are 3 connectors near the aerial plug, white, yellow and red. With all 3 connected to the TV and the TV input set to S-video, we can play the dvd thru the radio and watch it on the TV but the sound comes thru the speakers not the TV. BUT - the speakers are much better than the tinny sound that comes out of the TV - so we are happy ! I'm not even sure the rubbish sound from the 12v/240v tv is stereo. ! Not sure sure this will help but.......
Thanks for all your replies, it seems as thought it works by reading your inputs but only when your playing dvds or does it still work if your watching just tv programes . I will definatlely try all your methods when we go on holiday next wek or before if i get a chance . Hope this has changed you to a happy face emmitdb ?
OH says it has to go through the radio.Try it as you say but I think the speakers are connected to the radio only. The volume is controlled through the radio.
If you plug the headphone socket on your portable tv into the aux imput on the radio fitted in your caravan the sound will come out of the speakers if you select the aux input. Set the volume control on the radio to a sensible level and then make fine adjustments using the remote for the telly. One tip though don't let the mrs get her hands on the remote control otherwise you will find viewing confusion the result!
