I know, i've tried both.

Really?
I beg to differ. The Wheelhome Sprintaway is, IMO, way out in front of anything I have seen continental or otherwise.
It also is customised to the buyers own specifications at manufacture.
There was NO other manufacturer of small caravans who would give us 2 single beds at 6' 6" and as we spend more hours in bed than doing anything else in a caravan, the bed sizes and our comfort was paramount.
Furthermore, as the only gas in the van is for the cooker, everything else is 12v, including the fridge, and as the battery is topped up by both the car and the 65w built in solar panel, EHU is not required for extended touring, a fact that we proved lest year on a 27 night tour of the Western Isles.
The Sprintaway is a new concept in the design of small 2 berth caravans and yet it is easily transformed into luxury camping when an awning is attached and the van itself becomes a bedroom.
One disadvantage of most caravans is that they can only be used as a caravan. Not so with the Sprintaway. Being rear doored and all the internal furniture only clipped in place, in 20 minutes you can remove all the furniture, kitchen units etc., diconnect the electrics and remove everything from the van, leaving you with a large roofed box trailer. Idea for shipping flat packed furniture.
Yes, the Sprintaway is pricey, but as it will see us well into our 70's in comfort and versitility, it was the only van that we looked at that would meet all our needs for now and in the future.
I'm sure we all love our individual vans but blanket statements like the above quote are simply misleading and I am fairly certain that you have never even been in a Sprintaway, far less ever owned one.
