We got a price for a bailey caravan from our local dealer. He said that after the nec show Bailey's are putting their prices up. Has anyone heard this?
Does anyone buy caravans at list price these days?
The real price is the cost to change, not an artificially high price which is discounted or exceptional p/x value but paying list. Negotiate hard and get the best deal, there should be plenty out there - there is a recession on, just remind the dealer and don't listen to his hard-luck stories.
There is a shortage of vans though, in the West country the dealers had sold their 2009 stock by July. We went into a Bailey dealership and the earliest delivery dates were October back in July and that was for 2010 vans.
Last year our dealer told us that it goes up on the 1st sep!! And they did. We could have got a Bailey Ranger 540/6 for £10,000 last July but couldn't buy then. Luckily for us when we could buy this year we saw the GT60 version and got that instead. List price on the road £12,995...
