Can anyone recommend third party insurance for a van which is approx 20 years old. As we are putting our van into storage, so we need insurance to cover whilst there.
Is that a requirement of the storage site? If not there's little point insuring third party only - unlike cars third party insurance isn't required for trailers - your car insurance HAS to cover towing.the third party risks when

I don't think you can get third party insurance for a caravan. If your storage site requires it you will have to get normal caravan insurance which is comprehensive. I only pay £70 pa(with SAGA)for my 21 yr old Eriba so you will be paying a similar amount for yours I guess.

"Not that expensive"? I only paid £117 last year on my '01 Bailey Pageant, worth about £5000 as part-ex, more for a private sale - that's Caravan Club insurance.
and roger i had quotes of over £200 at one point for my twin axle, the lowest was about £65 but after reading the small prints wasnt really any good, so the best one for me was about the 4th in price, covered all what i needed.
I would try caravan guard and sheild as they seem to be about the cheapest. They may not always offer the best cover, but you don't really want a high level of cover.
