I reckon on a good hour to be completely set up - but that includes unloading the car and getting everything out of storage cubbies in the van. We could do the kettle test in about 5 minutes at racing pace!
It takes a bit longer to fill the hot tub and chill the wine cellar down to temp, of course... ![17](https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/forum_images/smiley2.gif)

I changed from a folding camper to caravan about 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Now I loved my FC and in some ways miss it, it was easier to tow, easier to manhandle, easier to store. But the setting and putting down UGH!
Being honest the setting up time of the caravan really depends on the site you're at, if the wardens are too particular about the caravan being straight/level/on the right section of your allocated pitch etc (I'm sure you must have come across wardens like this with the FC too!) Providing you can just drive on it really does only take 15-20 minutes depending on how far the EHU and water point away.
The thing I like best about the caravan over the FC is being able to stop for a cuppa on-route. No queing for the toilet, or overpriced poorly prepared food and drink at motorway services. Bliss!

If we used ours without the awning, we could be level, unhitched & set up in about 15 mins. To level ours side to side, I carry lengths of 4x2 & simply drive the low side up on one of them, level front to back using the jockey, wind down legs, plug in power, fill water barrel & place waste carrier, job done!
However, if we go away for long stays, I only tend to go for the first weekend to set up before returning to work so I tend to scratch about doing things for ages to make sure everything is going to stay put for a week without me.
In answer to your question, to use it without awning, we could be making tea in 15 mins easy.

For us without the awning, it takes us about 1/2 an hour to 45 minutes. With the awning and not trying to kill hubby in the process about a extra 1 1/2 hours.

I reckon about 20 min. without the awning. That involves: deciding where to site the van, legs down & levelling, electric out, waste water out and set up water. At this point, we can get into the van and use normally, having pre-packed the van before the journey.
Now if you add the awning on top, that's a different matter! This can add at least an extra 1 hour and 30 min against you have laid out the groundsheet, put the awning up, zipped in the sides, pegged it out, retrieved the table and chairs from underneath the fixed bed, got out the extra electrics for the awning. However, it often takes us a couple of days to get around to getting everything out!!!
(By the way, Jusy - hope you enjoyed France.)
