Hi all we're looking at the 2010 models and quite like the look of the elite searcher can anybody tell us wot sterlings like say compared to others bailey etc

We love our Sterling too, we are glad we bought a 2007 as they no longer make ones with the L shaped lounge area which we prefer. Only 2 gripes - would prefer a large wardrobe in the washroom. There is a small one in the washroom but the large one is opposite the kitchen area. And the shower should have been made with more headroom, other than that it's great.

We just recently bought 2009 europa 550, we looked and asked around for ages to compare different makes and the sterling came out on top.

Our 2008 Europa is a potentially a good van, but the amount of niggling problems, with one major issue still unresolved after almost 15 months, has really made us regret buying it, and deeply regret using the dealership.

I suggest you ensure that every pre delivery check is actually done, as it'll come with faults that are as far as I'm concerned, unacceptable.  The workmanship is poor, delare backup worse, and the factory seem unwilling to make any attempt to put things right with any urgency. And when the problems arise, as they certainly will, take immediate steps. DONT be fobbed off with excuses.
