Were going to Ballater at the weekend and wondered if anyone has towed over the A93 through Glenshee. If so would you advise it or not. Any problems or would you just not go that way?

Any help much appreciated.

I towed over that road some years ago and the road is fine it's just a little steep at one point though I got up it with still one gear to go if necessary, it wasn't until I came back down the same hill on the way home that I realised just how steep and how long the hill was.

It is a good road but take it easy.

I towed down it from Alford to Blairgowrie but I have a small van (see my gallery).

There are some blind bad bends, especially near the bottom of the Glen and caution is required.

Really the worst thing about this road is that you cannot admire the beautiful scenery for watching the dammed road!

We came north from Blairgowrie to Aberdeen in July, the road is good. it is steep in places but well worth the trip,

Check your brakes, engine oil and water before you go and fuel up well.
