Hi All,

So we bought our 1st van. A Ranger 550/6. It came with a brand new porch awning but over the winter period we will buy a full awning. Not understanding this subject much I'm after advice on:

• Good makes/models
• Features
• Time to buy (should I wait for a 'January sale')
• Anything else that might be of interest to me!

Take a walk round a site while they're still busy & have a look at the vast choice out there for you.

We've just changed our van & had to replace the awning due to it being a very different size. While we'd have loved a new Isabella I'm afraid they're simply too pricey for us. We've bought another new Dorema Senator Lux with the fibre frame, extra storm poles & two tall annexes. It's a lovely awning & I'm pleased with it.

An awning we considered but hadn't seen was the Bradcot Active. Would you believe a family pitched right behind us with a new one along with tall annexes the same configuration as us & it too is a lovely awning. 

We spent a bit of time going to a couple of dealers after awnings were suggested on here to see what was there for the money & I have to say I wouldn't bother with some, like everything else in life, it's down to personal choice & affordability at the end of the day.

we are getting a dorema montana ( not the lux as its a replacement awning from the dealer would have got the lux looks brill )

we did have a pyramid but it leaked hence the exchange
