HI,
Not sure about the GRP side panel. I have the 2009 Adria Altea 542 DK (twin Bunk) and the van is perfect. I would highly recommend one. For the size the van seems light, weighing in with an MTPLM of 1300Kg.
Not sure if this really helps but have fun anyway
