My OH and I are new to caravanning this year we have a 1990 Elldis Hurricane XL which we have really enjoyed and are going away next week for two weeks to Northam Farm in Brean. We have been looking at their sales dept and we are thinking of getting a much newer caravan while we are there as they seem quite reasonable. I was wondering if anybody have ever purchased a caravan from Northam Farm and if they have have they found them ok.
Ive looked at the vans there while staying at Unity farm, they have some fab caravans ecspecially the Crusaders!! You could always pop to Highbridge caravans while you are there to compare they have hundreds of vans too and arent far from Northam farm. Dont know about after sales service or those things.
------------- Jan:Braids Gretna, Feb Stanwix Park Silloth & Braids Gretna,
We purchased our caravan from them a few years ago, great service, cant fault them, even got a free weekend at the site. We also haggled a bit with the price and got a great deal.

I had a free weekend in Brean aswell this year!! grrrrrrrr
Heard a couple of negative stories about Davan of late, customer service post sales. However Highbridge have an excellent reputation, my parents dealt with them for years.
We will be looking at Highbridge they have such a lot to choose from on their web site. We are also looking to put the caravan on a seasonal pitch at Brean any ideas more than welcome.
Before you decide on a seasonal pitch at Brean, it may be worth going a couple of times to see if you can put up with the very strong winds that Brean is famous for, we have been 4 times, and it has always been so windy, and we have vowed never to return.
what ever you do dont go to diamond farm, we call it sh-t farm. every thing about the site is disgracefull.

dont buy from davan caravans we did and regreted it we found that it had been treated for damp when we bought it they told us everything ok had no damp .
8months after it was leaking water in cost us £4,000 this was 8yrs ago went to our local avondale dealer and he told us it would cost us £1,800 to put things write so we part exchanged it for a brand new caravan .
we regret having looked at caravans on holiday and buying one and swapping our old monza will never do it again i will stick to local suppliers.
we had very bad service from highbridge caravans and wouldnt ever by a caravan from there again, didnt seem like there cared about the sale and the man wasnt intrested in dealing with us, i also found that taunton leisure was about £500 less for the same van in the same week, back in may.
