can any body help me bought an abbey spectrum 520/5 1999 but not yet in posession of the van and wish to purchasse an awning. after doing some research I think it's either a 1025 or a 1050 poss size 15 but need clarification and also looking to spend 300 - 400 £s any advice on good makes at that pricepoint 2nd hand of course

the isabella website has a facility to search awning size by caravan make and model .

I spotted this 40% off clearance sale on the dorema website

I think dorema has a pretty good reputation and thought the prices here were very good for the montana lux awning

isabella search page doesn't list a 1999 abbey spectrum 520-5 but the one listed for 1998 says 1075, so bes wait until you have the van and check the measurement properly yourself
, unless someone with same van can confirm the size for you.

thanks debbie for your reply i have also been on the isabella website and couldn't find the van either which is where the confusion arose . but I think you are right I'm just gunna have to wait n measure the a line myself. Will have a look at the link you sent also, but not having had much experience with awnings what are the better makes available can you help ?

Not much experience either to be honest, but isabella is considered to be the very best make , and the price reflects this, they are double the price of most awnings.

I have been looking at awnings online recently and to be honest there is so much choice and the prices vary from brand to brand and they all do all sort of different ranges too, from budget range to super deluxe ones for all year round use, using different grades of canvas/acrylic material.

its all very confusing, but the price in the clearance sale does look to be a great reduction and the montana lux awning looks to be better spec than the standard montana on their main site , it says all season canvas, so if I get the van I am after and this offer is still on, I will be getting one of these.
