Thinking of purchasing the Sunncamp Ultima Porch Awning.

Those who have one can you please give me your thoughts on

1, How quick to put up
2, Do they fit snug to the Caravan especially the sides

plus anything else I might need to know.

Thanks

Easy to put up but with regard to fixing to the sides you have to peg under the van or if on a hardstanding, to the chassis with a bungee, in order to get a reasonable fit at the side.  It is not a full awning so obviously it doesn't fit the sides in quite the same way.

Ours withstood horrific weather in 2007, great little awning.

quick to put up and no rows less than half hour and everythings set up so great for weekends

its very light so 1 person can easily put it up

but it does not fit snuggly to the sides we use copper pipe insullation round the side poles and that helps

we had almost gale force winds on holiday and much to my husbands amazement the awning was fine

more condensation that normal awning though but solved by leaving vents open

i like it we bought the 390 and bought the inner tent for it and it suits us fine

The Sunncamp model is supposedly manufactured by the same supplier as the Towsure Panama range, of which I have the 260XL. The newer model (2009 range) of the Sunncamp has foam padding within the rear panels that help cushion against the van wall, plus a pair of lightweight poles to help hold the fabric against the van. This doesn't provide a seal, but does help reduce the fabric rattling against the van by the wind.
Only thing I did find, was the awning strip is made of a rubber material and an absolute pig to get through the channel. I put a quick squirt of silicon spray in the channel which helped immensely.
We tend to use this for all trips and the full awning now gathers dust in the garage.

We bought this one and used it the other week, will need two of you to put it up, it weights a lot more than the 260 we have.

It comes with extra poles that go next to the van to make it more stable, didn't hear any flapping in the wind like we used to on the 260 or the porch one we have.

I must be there best customer i have all 3.17

Would a 390 one fit a bailey ranger 460 ? or would it be too big?
