My '92 Swift Conqueor has one awning rail, is it possible to get one fitted the other side and what sort of costs are involved, any advice appreciated,

Cliff

Cliff

A friend of mine had his awning rail damaged whilst in storage (nobody owned up to it) so he ordered a new strip for his Heritage and we fitted it. The ideal tool for bending the rail to shape is a plastic number plate. Cost was minimal as only parts were awning rail and mastic.

If you put i into a dealership then the costs would rocket

Regards

probably the same on both sides so as not to have to have two different types of trim thus cutting costs as only 1 type of extrusion is required.... ive never seen a caravan with the rail only on one side tho.... whats on the other side????

Luck ,inside knowledge or out of season ? Our experience of West Country sites is that the owners of the ones we have been on pack vans in so close together that putting ONE up
causes no problems as long as the windows of the van on the next can be opened without fouling your front guy lines.
