We finally went and picked up our first caravan on Saturday, we did a 700 round trip but it was well worth every mile! It is an Adria Altea 502dk 2004 model and it is immaculate. We can't believe how many extras came with it so we are virtually ready to up and go! We had the awning up on Sunday and enjoyed a lovely cup of tea in the caravan in our drive - lots of strange looks from the neighbours but I'm sure they're just jealous! My daughter even did her homework in the caravan on Monday, great novelty! Just need to buy my melamine plates and little bits and pieces and we'll be ready for our maiden voyage. Thanks for the pump Gerry!
Hope you enjoy, sure you will. Caravan is a great place to do homework, not as many distractions as in the house, I take myself off to the caravan for a bit of 'me' time regularly.

Congratulations on your new van. We have only had ours a couple of weeks. We often sit out there with a coffee, even the neighbours have had a tour, still yet to put the awning up (maybe this weekend - weather permitting).
congrats enjoy your van, i to am the proud owner of ava, picked up today, taking kids to see her on sat, and they want there lunch in her, they are so excited, only 24 sleeps to her maiden voyage.
Congrats on the new van. We took the plunge in July this year after 6 happy years as tenters and had always said we wouldn't get one. After buying our 1994 Abbey Somerset, we still weren't sure at all if we were doing the right thing. But we have now been away in it for 3 long weekends and a week's holiday in somerset, I can honestly say it is the best thing we have ever bought. I love it, and the fact we can continue to camp - my most favourite way of spending time with my family - much later into the year is such a bonue. Hope the maiden voyage is a success and happy caravanning!
Enjoy your new van, when we first got ours a trip to norfolk was planned but due to major inclement weather we decided against it, so as soon as we got it home, out came the vino collapso and sat in it like a bunch of sado, s , we could have been miles away and didnt care it was greate
Glad your happy with it i love it when we have the motorhome at the house as it means i can hide from Lorraine's moaning but double glazing aint that good so i can still hear her now dont you be telling her.
Hope everything goes ok if any problems just ask and will help if i can also i will get the condensation packs from work next week for you for over the winter.
Enjoy your new van Suzie. You must be loking forward to your first trip. It's O.K on the side of the house, but much better on a camp site away from the house - least I think so!
Good luck and hope you enjoy your new van! By the way check out www.leisureshopdirect.co.uk for your melamine plates etc. They have a special offer on, £10.43 for a 16 piece set, but you better be quick, offer ends 18th Sept.
Congrats on new van but please dont use PLASTIC cups take your proper ones with you. Just make sure they are packed well. Tea, coffee tastes so much better. Best Wishes Mick.
