HAS ANYONE HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE DOOR MECHANISMS OF A STERLING CRUACH RANGE OF VANS FROM DUNCANS IN WISHAW? OURS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM SINCE THE DAY THE VAN WAS PICKED UP FROM THE DEALER. OUR 3 YEAR OLD HAS BEEN STUCK INSDE THE VAN TWICE SCREAMING BECAUSE THE DOOR HAS JAMMED TIGHT AND THE LOCK WOULD NOT OPEN. WE HAVE HAD NUMEROUS HOLIDAYS RUINED AND OUR 2 WEEK HOLIDAY IN JULY WAS A DISASTER. MY HUSBAND COULD NOT LEAVE ME AT THE VAN AT ANY TIME BECAUSE IF THE DOOR WAS CLOSED I COULD NOT OPEN IT. WE HAVE BEEN TOLD THE LOCK IS NOW FIXED AFTER BEING IN DUNCANS FOR 5 WEEKS, FOR THE LOCK AND NUMEROUS OTHER PROBLEMS, AND IT HAS CAME OUT WITH THE LOCK STILL NOT WORKING! PHONED SWIFT CUSTOMER CARE TEAM, WHAT A JOKE, BEEN PHONING THEM SINCE MAY, SPOKE TO CAROLE, AS DID THE OTHER PERSON WITH THE PROBLEM WITH THIER WATER PUMP IN THEIR EUROPA. CHEEKY,CHEEKY WOMAN!! WILL BE BACK ON THE PHONE TO SWIFT AGAIN ON MONDAY MORNING AND WILL BE SPEAKING TO THE SUNDAY MAIL. ANYBODY ELSE HAD ANY PROBLEMS?
I bought a cruach Cullmore new, not 8 weeks ago from DUNCANS, back in for a leak twice from the pump, fridge door not staying closed whilst moving, the service manager tried to say this was normal, the handbrake not working properly. I do wonder if the pre delivery ckecks are done correctly?
Going away next week and if the leak occurs again the service manager will be wishing he didnt come to work that day.
Why should i buy a brand new van and have these minor but annoying problems? I bought a new van as a piece of mind for trouble free holidays,wish i had stuck to the old van.

You would have been shouting too had you been there to had you been there to witness what has happened. Have spoken to Mark at Service Dept, no help, he promised us a new lock ordered, looks as though filed down not new one. Metal filings everywhere in van when picked up after the 5 weeks. Becoming an absolute nightmare. Anybody spoken to Catherine yet, don't believe a word that comes out of her mouth.Just phoned Duncan's right now after strongly wordered e-mail at 11.30pm last night. Duncan's just told us new lock not put on! Liars the lot.KennyGray good luck, keep us posted!
Sorry Millie but I think it may be the way you react. I found Mark very helpful and he sent me a new lock and handle by return. He was even prepared to come and fit it but I did it myself to save the journey. I just unscrewed the old one and replaced it. Now no problem.
Hi, to let everyone know what happened with the saga of the Mhairi Cruach, it went back to Duncans, money back in full! Bought an Elddis in October last year, what a fantastic van.
