I am collecting my new 2010 Adria Altea 542 DT tomorrow and am really excited.

I have never bought a new caravan before and have now idea what I should expect, what paper work I need to get etc.

Could anyone advise what I should expect.  Is it just a case of paying and taking it away, or will the dealer show me everything on the van working etc.

Any decent dealer will spend at least an hour with you showing you your new van and how everything works etc.

Then into the office and run through all the paperwork etc before helping you hitch up and seeing you on your way!

I am buying from Reads Caravans in Leeds. I am presuming they will take me though everything. Managed to get a reasonable deal and got bits fitted that I wanted, they are moving my Motor Mover off the part exd van free of charge and that sort of thing.

Got my new van today and it is fantastic.

We have tried everything out and all works ok, even had the TV setup watching it for a while.  I cannot wait to go away with it next week now. The kids wanted to sleep in it tonight, to behonest if it wasnt a school night I think that we all may have slept in it tonight.
