I am going to but a new awning for my Adria.  The size is stated as 1000cm.  Which is fine. I am looking at a Dorema and the sizes are 975-1000 (size14) 1000-1025(Size15)

Which of the above is best suited for a caravan that is 1000.  Do I go for the Size 14 which will just fit but may be a bit tight, or the Size 15 which will fit, but may be too big.

I am leaning towards the Size 14 as I would presume that if things are a bit tighter this shouldnt be a problem but may even help stability.

Or am I thinking about this wrong.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I agree, go for the bigger one as you can always peg it further out but if it is tight and on a slope as mentioned before then you might struggle.  17

Hi

We've got the same van as you and I think we have the size 15 as it seems quite generous when pegged down at the sides.  Can't look at the label as the awning is in the van but on the receipt it just said awning size 1000.

Thanks for all of your replies, it looks like a Size 15 1000 - 1025 is the way to go.

Thank you all for your advice.17

If you give Dorema a call, tell them make & model of your van, they'll tell you what size awning you need.

Good idea, I am going to give Dorema a call tomorrow and ask their opinion and hopefully get something ordered.

We have a NR Executive awning which fits our 542uk a treat. Our track is 1000cm which means an NR 20 ft awning. they are great to deal with and are very helpful over the phone. They even made up an annexe for us that was out of stock that afternoon and had it to us the next day. they are also local if you need to repair any damege etc( not needed to date). It will also fit our next van an 542dt which is a bonus! I think they have a 25% off everything at the moment. I hope this helps

The quick-lok pads are really good on the Dorema, but I did hate those pegging ladders that came of the little T-shaped lugs everytime we packed the awning up/ put it out.  We are now happy with our Eurovent, but miss the quick-lok pads - the Eurovent ones are not as good.
