Hi we have found this mark  on the front center window, its  a triangle shape about 4 inches in size on the inside, and is mirrored on both inner and outer window pain, the van is just 12 months old and guess what the windows are no longer covered.

has anybody had a problem like this?, and can they say the cause of it.

 we have a mark between the two skins of the front centre  window - we are told it is a stress fracture!

from what i understand this can be caused by a faulty window.ie the window gap is undersize and front pane is rubbing on the bottom pane when on tow.you need to go back to the dealer and confront him about a faulty window fitted when new.this is providing nothing has caused damage from other objects.

This is a well known problem now. It is caused by the 2 panes of the window rubbing together while towing.

The windows are made by Polyplastic and they are replacing affected windows. We have had one replacement and that has also failed.

There is now a Mark 3 window which is supposed to solve the problem, with a bigger gap between the panes.

The windows have the same warranty as the rest of your van, in most cases 3 years, so do not believe your dealer/manufacturer if they say only 1 year. As a last resort you can contact Polyplastic direct. The windows are imported here by a company called Myriad.

Do not give up.

Hi thanks for the info, contacted the service dept at glossop they said its a known fault they have changed a few, they are going to replace it when i take it in for service.

Our Pageant is waiting for a new window under warranty-same problem. The dealer said it is a common fault.

Ours had the same problem last year and the window was replaced. It is a well recorded manufacturer fault.There is more info on the Practical Caravan Forum.
