Hi All,

Just a minor query :  On the Caravan Club CS site entries in the book and on-line there is a symbol like a lightening flash for EHU and there is also a symbol like a battery which means the site offers battery charging facilities. Does anyone know what this actually means ? Do you have to take your battery out and they stick a charger on it or do they have a special EHU you can plug into ?

I think you would have to remove the battery and take it to the owner of the cs site for charging.

I would imagine that this refers to people who do not have EHU but rely on battery power,I know our first van only had 12 volt supply and we used to charge the the battery with a set of jump leads every few days depending on usage, but I could be wrong ,Isuppose the easy answer is to phone the club and ask.

Hi shirl250, Have mobility scooter for wife, and i bought one of these in car inverters, it plugs in to a cig.socket or 12volt socket and has an 240 voltAC plug(house hold kind) at the other end,i use this and the AC scooter charger to charge the scooter when driving,and  plug in the charger to the caravan AC plug. got inverter from maplins and they have very good knowledge on thier products.

If you don't have EHU then its take your own scooter charger and battery to the site attendant. Hope this helps.   John

Slightly off post, mobility scooters have two 12v batteries in series. It is not recommended that they are charged individually by a normal car battery charger as this can damage them.

Just out of interest...why is that...surely a 12v battery (presume lead/acid of some kind) can be charged on a standard charger?
