I think it is legal if you have a showmans licence. In which case, almost everything is legal.

no such thing as showmans licence we all can do it . what you need is a motor tractor like mine..if the tow unit is even bigger over 7,370kg unladen you may tow three trailers forget all the rubbish you hear about showmans we are all equal . other wise it would be discriminate . (hope i spelt it right).cheers alan.

As Michael  will know I've been worrying a lot lately about kerbweights and MTPLMs - surely this combo would exceed the gross train weight and therefore be illegal?

Mind you, shoplifting, drug dealing and murdering people are all illegal, but they still happen, don't they?
