Hi,could anyone tell me any problems they have had with the Alde Wet Heating System also any good bits.We use our van all year and although blown hot air is ok we find it struggles at times.

Two years with Alde and no problems so far; only critisims is that the circulation pump is not quite as quiet as we would like. Thats no issue in the evenings but is when it comes on in the night.
You have to set it before you go out if you want warmth later as it cant give instant warmth when you walk in; but thats only an operator action. Same action is needed if you want it to come on before rising in the morning. It pumps in 6 kW on gas and needs about 30 mimutes to warm our van up on a cold morning.

Good bits???
Well its a first rate heating system totally without drafts and as such streets ahead of any blown air system we have come across.

With the auto antifreeze mine is filled with, this like in a car needs draining every two years.
However I have checked with Adle UK and the newer 5 year life antifreezes can be use so this two yearly charge can become a 5 yearly one.
I intend to do that myself so only the antifreeze cost to pay. Re-priming it might be a bit tricky but I now know where all the bleed nipples are so it ought not be a problem.
Apart from that there are no other service requirements stated in the documentation.

If mine and my families experience of caravan dealers "servicing" in the past is anything to go on then doing anything myself is much the more satisfactory option.
