We face the problem of buying an annex for our recently purchased Dorema Exclusive. I believe that the trick is to get the right zip match and I have seen both an YKK zips and OPTI zips. I understand that some side panels fit into the awning rail and the annex has to do the same. My Exclusive awning is a fully zip out panel so I assume that a fully zip in anex will fit as long as the zips are correct.Does anyone know which zip set fits which awning?

thanks

Hi

We have an exclusive and it needs the YKK zip awning. The man at Dorema told me that a Madison annex would fit ours and I got one from ebay almost new.

I shall probably get moaned at this eve as I have just opened out the beautifully folded annex to have a look!!!

Hope this helps

Ours is the senator lux with full panels, it too has the YKK zips. I was very unsure prior to ordering ours & lost several annexes on Ebay. I asked the man at Dorema & he confirmed we needed YKK, I'd do the same if I were you just to be certain.

I don't know anything about the Exclusive other than it's listed next to the Senator lux in the brochure but Dorema are very nice people to deal with.

Thanks for the replies folks. I understand that some anexes areare 3 sided and they slide on to the rail. The exclusive is not like that and I would be surprised if Dorema made a different annex for each awning. I have seen a local advert for an annex with YKK zips in the right colour and I suspect it might well fit our Exclusive. I think I may haggle a little and if it does not fiot then it can always go up on Ebay.

just got one and it is a fully zip in type for sure.made the mistake of not asking and had to drive 50 miles to return it because it had the awning slid in bit on it.so double check it will save you pounds.

the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

Hi

The annexes which only zip on 2 sides are made for the narrow Dorema awnings which are only 2 metres wide like the Polaris or Sirocco. The 2.4 metre wide awnings are the 3 zip ones which is what you need. The man at Dorema said the Exclusive and Senator lux fit the same awning as the Madison.
