Hi, can anybody name the dealership that I think is on the A35 near Lychett Mattravers in Dorset? I can picture it but not accurately place it, it is on the right hand side coming from Dorchester and the forecourt is long and thin. There is a big accessory shop as you first pull in and the vans then lay to the left of this. Almost immediately afterwards there is a roundabout.
Have been to both. The one in Wimborne only deals with second hand vans, mainly in good condition, although the one they showed us stank of wee! To be fair they said they hadn't cleaned it yet. We found them a little pushy as we were only enquiring at the time.
We can't fault Lady Bailey. We bought our first van (Series 7 Loire) from them this time last year. The salesmen were very helpful and attentive and we got a good deal - in fact so good that friends of ours were going to come down from Blackpool as they couldn't get a better deal anywhere for their Senator Carolina until their local dealer matched it. The accessories shop is separate but always gives good discounts if you've purchased a van from them and the service we get is always very friendly. We had a few snags with the caravan but they were sorted very quickly and without question. They even kept the van for a couple of weeks as we were away when it went in for some faults to be put right and couldn't pick it up straight away.
Our van is going in for its first service this weekend so hopefully everything will be OK.
We're buying from Lady Bailey so it's good to hear what Midge has written (thanks Midge!). Obviously we've not had to test them out much yet (van is being built next month), but they were happy(?!) to beat the best price we'd found elsewhere for the GT60 540/6. We're going in on Monday to talk accessories with them so will find out what deal they'll do on those then.
If you want a used van tho, I went past the Caravan Co yesterday and their forecourt was the fullest I've ever seen it, so they must have quite a bit of stock in atm.
We had our present van from Lady Bailey. Seem a good company. We pick up the van om the way down to Cornwall, had a fortnight and then popped in on the way back to cure a small fault in one of the lights. Sorted with no fuss or problem.
