Have just seen a little Fisher Holivan at a local village event. To be honest, I'd never even heard of them.
I got chatting to the owners (very lovely couple and extremely helpful) who said they were originally built in the 60s to be towed by the Mini!!

Just wondered if anyone on here has got one or has had one in the past and would like to share their views and opinions on this particular make and model?

Or are there other classic caravan owners who could recommend their particular 'van?

Looking to buy my first caravan and would quite like to buy an older model that I can personalise and really make my own.
The only criteria I have to stick to is that it must be small and VERY lightweight (maximum laden weight 650kg)
After that, I'm open to suggestions!!!
Have looked at the Eriba Puck too which I rather like and also some of the folding caravans like the Esterel.

A car becomes a classic at 25 years old and vintage at 50 years old so guessing caravans use a similar time scale??!!

Thanks for all the replies - I really like the idea of doing up an older 'van - it will be nice to turn my DIY skills to something more creative!!

i hope you manage to get fit up with a project. don't forget to keep us up to date on it when it's underway. i'll follow the goings on with interest as we're trying to sort out bits and bobs on ours.
