Is anyone able to let me know how much charge is put into the Caravans Battery when it is connected to the car and the car is running.
We went away in our new Adria last weekend I went to the storage site the other day and noticed that the Aerial Booster does not turn off automatically as it did with our last caravan, so the booster was turned on for about 2 days running off the battery. I checked the volts on the battery with the switch and it was showing 12v. Rather than taking the battery off to add extra charge, could I just connect up my car to the van for an hour with the engine running, would this add any or much charge back into the leisure battery..
I am planning to try to put up our new awning next weekend at the storage site so it can be connected to the car for the time doing this so it could be an hour or so.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I have been told that the car doesnt provide much charge to the caravan battery and so connecting the car to the van to add a bit of charge would be pointless.
