Do people seriously take the vans away over Christmas and New Year?!

Of course we do! I've been away in the van for 4 out of the last 5 Christmases and enjoyed it every time.  Anyway whats the point of having 10 grands worth of Caravan sat on the drive doing nothing during a holiday period.

We are going to Littlehampton Caravan Club site over the Xmas period. We are new to caravanning this year so it will be the 1st time away in Winter too ! Really looking forward to it. Must go and buy a little Christmas Tree and some lights ! Ahhhh.

Have you tried some of the smaller certificated sites? I am sure there must be somewhere,

We haven't booked yet but are hoping to get away 27th til 4th jan

We were going to C.C. Brown Moor, Hawes for New Year, but having to cancel, he is going to Afghanistan instead.(not with the van though)

Its amazing to see how many people get away from the hectic Xmas period. We thoroughly enjoyed it last year and are looking forward to doing it again this year. Just got to switch the van over to winter caravanning mode. i.e. lagging jacket for water containers etc, wintert duvets and blankets. not forgetting the xmas lights and such. Oh and winter cheer and merriment.

We're off to Holgates in Silverdale for New Year. Was a bit surpirised they charge a £30 surcharge for stays over the New Year period. Hoping it is worth it!!
