Hi, I have been lurking for a while as we've been wanting to buy a caravan for ages, and everyone here seems to be so friendly and know sooooo much!
Finally, last Saturday, we bought our very first caravan - a 2006 Adria Altea 542uk, and we absolutely love it!
My husband towed it home, about 70 miles and it towed like a dream. He drives an automatic Discovery and it was much easier than I thought it would be. He even managed to reverse it onto our drive almost first time (and no cross words between us!)
Our two boys (13 and 9) love their end bedroom and have spent lots of time in it already!
It really feels great to have joined 'the club' at last!

We have booked our first trip- from a review on this site, for a weekend break. In a couple of weeks time we're going to Lickhill manor caravan park, Stourport-on-Severn. Has anyone here been? It's only about an hour from us. I'm really looking forward to it.

you sound embarrassed to have a 93 van! dont be! many older vans (inc mine) are in better nic than newer ones and the leaks have been sorted!! ok the cushion colours may be out of date but everything else is very similar. Also we don't lose £1000's in depreciation 17
