I have bought a second hand Isabella awning.(pre 2000). It has a hook set up which should apparently go into 'fix ons' up against the van. Anyone any idea where I can get these from, tried my local caravan shop to no avail. Is there anything else that would do the same job?
There should be a small track at the top of the awning and the fittings slide into position on this and can be locked in position then the end of the pole with the hook goes into a slot and pushes against the van.
Have you looked on the awning as we leave ours in the track when we take the awning down and may still be fitted.

Most dealers that sell Isabella awnings would be able to supply you with what you want though finding an online supplier is not easy These are what you want and these will probably also be fine. You are looking for some Isabella Fixon brackets

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

These are definitely the sort of thing you want. If you can't get them locally, then Jacksons of Arley normally have them in stock. Give them a ring and ask them to send some out.

Hi, we have a dorema and the roof brackets are very very similar, the slide onto a track on the inside of the awning and once in place tighten them up and then your roof bars just hook into them and then onto the front poles of the awning, I know ours are a different make but at £2.50 each from tow sure I think they would work. Hope it helps . atb Bill

I smile besause I have'nt a clue whats going on... appreciate everything in life especially your friends...
We use dorema ones as well, they fit with no problem. Make sure you have the extra rail on the converotr rail of your awniing to accept the fix on clamp.
On our last Isabella we didn't have this extra moulding but did have the hooks on our frame. To get over this without drilling the caravan, I bought some of the moulded rubber suckers, drilled a hole in the bottom of the hole for the hook to go through & this worked perfectly for 12 seasons, they're still working for my nephew who bought our old van, cost about £3 for a set of three at the time.
Why not contact Isabella, they repaired our awning when it suffered damage when it fell down, I think they sell all spares. I haven't got their phone number but if you search on the Internet I am sure you will find it.
