Hi all just picked up our 1995 fleetwood garland 165/5 yesterday. All electrics all ok, lights fridge stereo battery ,toilet and water etc but none of the gas appliances are working, ie fridge, cooker, hob and fire, changed the regulator but nothing, there are 3 switches under the sink turned them on and nothing! I know its seems silly but is there anything silly we have missed out etc. Gas bottle is full so its not that, we are stumped !

Trace the pipes back from the appliances to the bottle and make sure that all stop-taps you find have the taps parallel to the pipes - we have 3 stop-taps in the gas-bottle box (the main one, plus one on each pipe after it divides to supply the appliances in the 'van and the outside gas-point), 4 under the cooker (1 each for hob, grill, oven and fridge) and two more under the seats for the space heater and water heater.

Once you've made sure everything is turned on, turn a ring on (the hob is usually the appliance furthest away from the bottle) and hold the tap in for a while to make sure it's gas coming through rather than the air in the pipes.  And I know it's obvious, but remember that you need to hold the knobs in for a time after an appliance is lit - they all have flame-failure devices that cut the gas supply off if the flame goes out, and nothing will stay lit until the little sensor on the burner gets hot.

When you press the gas hob burner knob down and turn it on, can you hear any air or gas coming out? If not I suggest there is another stop tap somewhere and if it is auto switch over between bottles is it set correctly to the bottle with gas?

Couple of things, is the rubber gas pipe from the bottle old? these can degrade & get blocked with debris, also is gas coming out of the bottle? try removing pipe & checking gas is coming out of regulator. Regulators don't last forever so that might need replacing as well.

There is sometimes a supply cut off tap in the front locker , see yelllow tap in picture http://www.1carpc.co.uk/wcdr/new-page-8.htm .
I would start at the supply and check you have gas coming out of the bottle , then check you have gas coming out of the regulator .

Its got to be an isolation valve somewhere, cannot be airlock, does gas escape from the bottle with the regulator off. is there a "sudden pressure lose" valve if so does it need reset, any info in the book.
