30 should be about right !
I'd go with 30 too. I have no reason to suspect Michael isn't correct in saying 25, but err on the side of generosity.... and you never know when you might need a spare peg. We always carry spares.

correct they do bend at times too.i have helped others who were short on pegs too.feel sure they would help me if required.

I do tend to like the red plasic ones, but they do bend quite a bit, and once they're bent then it can be a bit of a game too. I have been know, in an over-enthusiatic moment to snap the head off - one of the problems of using a lump hammer , but at least the darn things go in.
I would say it depends on how solid you want it fixing, I have been known to double peg the awning down when expecting very windy conditions, including the storm strap. But on most occations just 1 per pegging point, Other things can require pegging though, some steps can be pegged into place, the Satellite dish I have can also be pegged down to the ground.
Am I right in saying that there are no "quick lock " pegs?, quick lock pads are for fixing to the van roof for the roof poles ???? are these what fife-bloke is on about? if so we have 5 quick lock pads and 3 spare. If I'm wrong and there are quicl lock pegs please accept my apologise. atb Bill

I bought screws and washers from Screwfix and use them to hold the awning down in all types of ground using a battery drill of 18 Volts. I bought them to use in hard ground only but due to a serious shoulder injury have used them in all types of ground this year and will do from now on, even though my shoulder is now fixed. I think they were item number 60418 on www.screwfix.co.uk. Best if you have a local store you could look at before you buy but a lot cheaper than genuine screw pegs.
