As well as being comfortable and cosy in your bed at night, camping/caravanning can raise a few circumstances that are not the normal part of a night's sleep at home and sometimes you have to get up in a hurry to investigate whatever.
I find it a lot easier to leap out of bed quickly from under a duvet/blanket than it is from the depths of a sleeping bag.
I have also found, from experience, that it is easier to extract my Bichon from under my warm blanket when I got up furra wee in the middle of the night than I did from the bottom of my sleeping bag when I used that!!! ![17](https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/forum_images/smiley36.gif)
