We're going on Friday. Not been to the NEC for a few years - what's the onsite catering like now? Has it improved at all? Where's the best place to eat?

Food at the NEC is over priced for what you get. You are better off taking a packed lunch, plenty of places to sit just outside the entrance to the halls (still inside the main building), plenty of people will be doing the same. We shall be there on Sunday.
Saturday for me. Will be getting a sandwich from Subway probably, in the centre between halls 2 and 4, or the Wetherspoons nearby. Both were good value, we found the eating places inside were a bit of a rip off when visiting Crufts.
When we went last time we ate at subways and found the prices ok. It was a bit more, but not worth carrying around your own food. We will take water, but don't want to end up sitting on the floor eating a picnic. It is so busy on the Saturday that there are not enough seats for everyone.
Went yesterday. Save your money and fuel. The October show is nothing like the one in February. There is nothing really new. I only spent a couple of hours there. There are very few side stands.
Unless you are going to look at something specific I wouldn't bother.
We're going on Saturday - but really to look at motor movers not caravans. It's come to that time in our lives when we want a bit of an easier life, and after OH has had a bad back so many times heaving our van around we decided to invest! We want to compare the different makes - and they are all at the show. I'd also like to look around the Stealth and the new Adrias - but we've already seen the Pegasus and weren't impressed.
We've got a cheap room at the Ramada, nearby for Friday night, so no driving in on Saturday morning, and are going over from there to Abersoch to stay with friends in the afternoon.
We're going tomorrow (Friday) - we will be buying food there as I can't be bothered to carry my own around with me. It's only one day, so we just accept it won't be cheap. Looking at the exhibitor list, the sausage stall is there anyway, so yummy sausage sarnies will probably be on the cards when we reach that stand!!

I didn't see any new Adrias caravans when I was there, mostly all motorhomes with very few caravans. I would say 10-1. The Stealth is a joke and I agree about Pegasus
We were on the verge of going, but as we don't really *need* anything. in view of the comments, the way I'm thinking is that I think I'll give it a miss and save the cash. Perhaps I'll look at the Pegasus at some other time.

Now I'm interested!!!We went Tuesday, not looking for anything to buy just wanted a wonder. Now we enjoyed it don't get me wrong,BUT there were no gadgits and gizmos that Gazbag was expecting and no bits and bobs for me.All that was there you can get on line at the same price or cheaper. Is the one in Feb any better??
