No the £5 is a joining fee and there are seperate discounts for direct debits.

the £5 joining fee is waivered if you pay by direct debit, there arent any other discounts for direct debit

Tezmil1's correct. I'd never heard of the Towsure discount offers to CC and C&CC members, but Cotswold Outdoors have discounts for members of the Ramblers, CSMA and possibly other organisations.

We've been using our C&CC membership card at Towsure since we joined the club in 2002!. The info was in our original membership pack.

When we joined the C&cc club we still had to pay the £5.00 joining fee even though i was paying by direct debit. I wasn't impressed at paying extra on top but i wanted to join.  I'm sure there was an extra charge on top if not paying by dd, the reason i set up a dd and not used another method of payment.  It may have changed now but it was there on the form when i joined the C&CC
