We are about to buy one of these. After huge amounts of going around in circles on all sorts of vans we seem to have narrowed it down to this one.

We are new to all this, so any hints/tips on things that are important, not so important etc would be greatly appreciated.

Places that are good for kids and dogs. Prices on travelling to France/Jersey etc.

Anything at all really would be very helpful, thanks.

Depending on the shipping length of your van determines if you can go on the Sea Cat to Jersey or the slow ferry.Have a look on the Condor website as I'm not sure what the limit is for the 'cat.

Before you order your new van check that your tow car is a suitable match re weights and enough power.

Good luck with the new van.

When i'm looking at buying a new 'van or even just looking at a 'van i start to "use" it in my imagination.  Where do i hang my wet towels, put the clothes, shoes, food, bottles of drinks, where will the dogs sleep, where do i sit in the morning and put my cuppa that kind of thing.  If there is not enough room where i think it should go then i look for the alternative's.  In my 'van there is a huge wardrobe but we don't have much hanging clothes so i am going to put some kind of shelving unit in there and 4 of us have space to store clothes.

Have you done that?  Have you checked all the weights on whattowcar.  It didn't have our 'van on there so i picked the closest 'van and put in the correct weights etc.

Have you joined any of the clubs?  Both of them mostly accept dogs on their sites.

Have you got pet passports?
