Have just come back from taking down our awning on our Elddis. It has been up all season near trees and is quite dirty. We have tried to give it a clean before packing it away but it made little difference.
Has anyone got a good system for cleaning mainly the roof section?

Does the soap not remove the waterproofing?

We used pure soap flakes on ours, its an 1993 Isabella combi, cleaned up a treat, but we did have to reproof it.
We tried awning cleaner but it didn't do much, we had also been under a tree and got it covered in sap.

We have just cleaned our awning that has been under tree's we use very very hot water and a bit of soap and a bit of awning cleaner and it came up brilliant really pleased with it.  Was very hard work but worth it.
