do people use groundsheets(awning) while on hardstanding?

going away next week to the lakes ,never been away this time of year and as yet we dont have a groundsheet thinking of buying a kampa easytread,

but would like to know if this damages the groundsheet in any way?

We have large foam squares which lock together, which we use on hardstandings.

 haven't noticed any damage or extra wear but we have only had them about a year.

WE use a breathable groundsheet when on hardstandings, it makes it more comfortable for the dog when she lies down and keeps the hardstanding stones out of the van. I bought the groundsheet 7 years ago when we got the van and it was just a legth of a roll in Lowdhams showroom nothing special basically the cheapest we could find, as far as I can see it has not worn appreciably and we spend about 70 nights away each year and it is used for the majority of those nights.

We use groundsheets and foam pads on hardstandings. Prefer to have something soft under our feet.

We use the interlocking foam tiles. Not only do they cushion the hardstanding, it is easier to spot small things if you drop them rather than them disappearing into the stones.
