Can anyone help please.Met a bloke in the summer who had some very neat "strips" placed in the awning channels which aid water dispersal and prevent black streaks.He did tell me what they were called but i have forgotten.If anyone knows what they are called please can you tell me.

I've seen these on a van and they were made from awning draft skirt cut down to about 4".

I've just bought some from Tamworth Camping at the NEC show. They are called Awning Rail Protectors and are supposed to stop your awning rail getting mucky and stop the black streaks. Let's hope they work.

They were £16.99 for 12metres BTW.

if you have some plastic damp course wich is used for buildings , cut a piece about 450mm long by 100mm wide ,bend one edge over to double the thickness then slide it into the awning chanel on the corners where the water runs off , i find it deflects a treat providing its not too windy

I leave ours in the awning rail when travelling as well, just wish it was about twice the width as the rain still manages to run down the side windows.

we noticed that when we had the senator.it used to drip onto the wheel arch as well,quite irritating at times ..
