And bought a second hand Sterling Elite Searcher monster twin axle thingy lol! Taking delivery on 6th November but the site doesn't open again until 15th March so we will be teased by it until then.
So now I have to sell my little Elddis Crown Regent, our first ever caravan together. I'll be sad to see it go but we've outgrown it now.
Thanks Anne, I hope not. Somebody else on site has an Elite too, erm a Trekker I think theirs might be? Definitely the poshest van we've ever had but I sure as heck won't be towing it, it's a monster!!!!
OH has volunteerd to tow it for you, if you ever want it moved. If he can tow on some of the roads over the French mountains then I reckon he can tow anything anywhere.
So what layout is it exactly, as I can't remember?
What a kind gesture, thank you I will shout if we come unstuck at any time. Luckily the dealers are quite happy to tow it there for us as they are just a few minutes away. We pretty much limited ourselves to local dealers in order to alleviate any towing hassles but one day we may want a different site.
Very nice, it's just like ours at the front but where the fire is in yours, there is a kitchen cupboard in ours, and the fridge/freezer is under the draining/work kitchen bit, so I assume you have the large wardrobe in the washroom. We have a small cupboard with a roundy shaped door in the corner by the tv area. The large wardrobe is where your fridge/freezer is and there's also a small one in the washroom. I prefer the layout in yours! Ours is pale blue grey/beige/brown stripes, with blue/grey carpets and cream curtains.
We have two wardrobes it seems, one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom. We have a monster fridge/freezer, that will be one of the big differences for us as we have an old fashioned fridge with half a width freezer in our existing van.
We love the layout as it is very bright and open and we have started taking the dog with us too so she will have some floor space.
Oh yes, that's a wardrobe beyond the fridge/freezer isn't it? and you have spice racks and a glass cabinet in the kitchen, we don't. The glasses are in the front locker nearest to the door in ours.
Yes it is another wardrobe. We don't drink so that cabinet is apparently going to gain some shelves and become a dvd/book cupboard lol.
I've just booked a B and B for the night before pick up. We are down at Powderham on the 5th so no point driving all the way home to go back again in the morning!
hehehhehe congrats to you!! we have the same layout of van as you now!!! we got ours on friday after noon and towed it to the site for the weekend! what a bloming rush it was, only difference with your van and ours is that we dont have that huge frige/freezer thing ours is a wardrobe, and even tho we only had one car load of gear put in there over the wekend it was great, just got back to the storage and we even managed to manhandle it our selves, just the two of us pushed in by hand into the pitch!! got the rest of the gear in now and our old one is now up for sale but tucked up in the storage for now. washing and polishing day tomorrow for the old one and she will be gleaming clean, just like the inside is.
roll on the weekend tho as the new one is being took for a run out again!!
Well done, you haven't updated your profile Fox! I've a bad back so no shoving for me but the very nice man at Martins said his people would love to pitch it for us providing it is a week day. We happen to be off for two days so it fitted in fine.
Our old van is cleaned and has the winter cover on but if anybody wants to look at it is accessible enough. I've paid for storage through to March but it would be nice to sell it before I have to pay for summer storage.
