It just gets better and better.

Daughter has received letter from the Insurance Co saying how sorry they are "THAT YOUR CARAVAN HAS BEEN ****DAMAGED******. PLEASE SUPPLY TWO ESTIMATES " Etc Etc.

That has been a waste of two days then!!!

The loss adjusters are visiting the scene of the crime today (a field).

Hope they've brought the thumbscrews for the owner and the other occupants.

Who is the insurer?

We had our 'loved folding camper nicked in June this year, so we know how violated you feel. We were extremely lucky in that we placed an article in the local free press and played on the fact that my wife is disabled. We got a phone call from the police two weeks later. it was found in a car park 3 miles away, used and damaged but repairable. We now have it on winter wheels [ if they want to fetch wheels with them tp pinch it  -- let them try now! ]

Greetings All,

Just to inform everyone that the cheque from the insurance Co. is on its way for the caravan.

Because it had only been insured for a fortnight they are paying out the full amount(minus excess).

The contents is another matter. Daughter had a visit today from the 'loss adjuster'. He wriggled better than a worm on a hook and tried to suggest all kinds of things but, as a result of preparing herself for the onslaught she had answers for everything.

I will give the name of the bl**dy awful customer service they received in the form of the myopic site owner as soon as she gets paid.

Does anyone remove a wheel and lock it in the car boot when holidaying away for a week or two?

Or do the scrotes carry spare wheels as well?

the only silly question is the one you do not ask.

if you remove the wheels your insurance may not pay out,they say no wheels no wheel clamp fitted we are not paying,this has happened.some sites are liable to flooding so removing a wheel will not be allowed.
