I dont think there are alot of sites that let you leave the awning up all season, reason being they dont want responsablity of it blowing down and hitting another van, or the site trying to put it back up to make it safe, But if it has been put up properly in the first place........On the site i am on, they let you leave them up. all seasonal pitches are gravel. so no damage is done to the grass. If you have fibre poles they wont let you leave them up.

We leave our awning up all season although the site is open from March 1st til Dec 31st the awning has to be down by the end of Oct before the main winds of the winter. We're allowed decking under the awning on most pitches and someone even has flagstones, both of which are left in place all year. There are big parties for New Year so it really is a great place.
Just been notified that a seasonal pitch has become available if we want it. Yippee.....van passed its "MOT" on same day. Christmas come a little early.
Thanks for all the tips......rang insurance company and they are happy to continue with policy and there won't be any change in my premium which is good news.
