I agree wholeheartedly with this. With the Haynes Caravan Manual to give you "the broad picture" of caravan related topics and the manual for your van for the specifics, you will not go far wrong.

If you decide to join the Caravan Cub, then their Members' Sites Directory contains a great deal of caravanning info on towing, loading and loads of other practical information.

Also, when you are on a site, don't forget that there are usually plenty of other experienced caravanners who are only too willing to help you resolve any issues you may have with using any of the fitted equipment etc,.  Just stand outside your van with some instructions in your hand - look very puzzled and keep a few cans/bottles of something in full view!
