Does anyone have a step by step guide to covering original caravan cushions? I have just bought our 1st van which is 26 years old - obviously we want to update it and put our own stamp on it! I thought we would start with the seating area and then paint the cupboards etc. If anyone has any helpful hint on painting cupboards or re upholster the existing seating then please HELP. It is waaaayyy to expensive to replace all the foam. I am not the best sewer but do have a machine! Thanks in advance
I recently recovered all the cushions in our Adria. I unpicked the current covers and used them as a template-turned out great and I did the lot for £50!

If your covers have buttons and you don't want to remove them all to replace covers you can do as I did. I made basic box style zipped replacement covers and marked the positions of the buttons on to the fabric, I then made button holes and slipped the buttons through the button holes, this keeps the material nice and tight. I recovered the buttons by cutting a circle of fabric and then sewing running stitch around edge popped them over the button and pulled thread up tight and tied off.
This method also means that the covers can be taken on and off for washing.
I have uploaded some pictures into my gallery but don't know why last two are upside down !
