I would agree that they are going to be a fortune.
Dealer actually talked us out of them in new van by saying they will be inclinded to hold the damp because the condensation runs into the blind when they work bottom up plus cast some doubts as to the longevity of the pleats. Normal blinds are about £100 a window and pleated will be much more.

I think the dealer is talking through is back side on this one, If you look closely at these blinds they have very small pin holes on the pleats, it is impossible for the pleats to fall out.
sorry to say shaz, yes they do cost alot of money to buy.

I dont believe dealer is talking through the appendage you mention. I never said, nor did he, anything about pleats falling out. Don't know what you were reading. What we were talking about is the pleats cracking due to being folded and unfolded everytime the blind is closed. And he does have a point as I know quite a few people who have had this issue on their fly screens and the Heki roof blind.

sorry if i misread, But as for them cracking? These blinds are designed to open and close, I will stand to be corrected if anyone knows of there blinds cracking through condensation or otherwise.

I put blackout blinds from Argos into our old Abbey. They worked perfectly & it cost less then £100 to do the whole caravan. On the sloping front windows I ran some curtain wire at an angle & they slid nicely down.
If you look carefully you can see some in the pics below...

Not a fan of those concertina blinds at the windows, if they are the kind I'm thinking of. Isn't it right that you can only have the blind OR the flyscreen on at any one time? The rollerblind type allow both to be on at the same time, so you can have the blind partially shut, the flyscreen down and the window open, which is much more flexible.

Thats correct Viggo, I guess its to there own, But i do like them, plus they keep a lot of light out more than the roller blinds do, if you like a lay in in the mornings, No light in the van.

We had the concertina type on a Abbey and they wore thin on the creases and let in a fair amount of light enough for the dealer to change the whole lot under warranty just before it was a year old my friends also had some of theirs changed on their Sterling but Swift put a stop to them having the rest changed under warranty as apparently it was getting expensive, personally after this experience I would prefer to go with the roller blind type.

I would like to replace the reflective roller blind on the front window of my Sterling Super Sprite 1993 model. Has anyone any idea where I might be able to purchase on from.
