i thought i would post the e-mail reply i had from the person i asked for help about my mover ..top marks for this man ..powertouch replied 3 days later
Hi Keith,
Turn on the control panel by inserting the isolator key switch into the isolator in your battery box & turning it a quarter turn clockwise.
Switch on the handset by pressing then releasing the 2 green buttons on the handset, the speed control LED'S should light up then go through a sequence until it eventually settles with a single LED lit.
Press the orange centre button, then depending on how the fitter wired it, press the forward button & hold both buttons down until the speed control LED'S stop flashing & the red forwards LED starts flashing, at that point you should hear the linear motors start to engage, you can now release the buttons & the motors will engage the movers rollers, if it doesn't work, turn the handset around & press the orange button & the reverse button, it should now work.
On no account must any button be pressed once the red LED starts to flash, there's a safety feature built into the panel to stop the engagement if any button is pressed, but it will totally shut down the panel, you will have to switch off the isolator for 2 mins then start again.
Reversing the rollers when you are finished is a reversal of the above.
If the mover was fitted between 1st Aug to mid Oct you may have a control panel fault, the fault causes the panel to spike the voltage & shut down the forward & reverse buttons & it will need replacing, its a software fault not an electronics fault, so new software will cure it.
To test it you must engage the movers 4 motors as the fault only occurs under heavy load, press the forward button, let the caravan move forwards for a few seconds, then stop it, then press forwards or backwards again, do this several times, if it wont respond to the buttons but will respond to the left/right buttons its got the fault, also if it cures itself after 20 seconds or so its got the fault, if it works perfectly then it hasn't & you should also be able to press the forwards button then press the turn button, then release the forwards button so that youv'e gone from straight to turn left or right without stopping the mover, this is very handy going uphill as you wont lose momentum.
Please let me know how you get on
Keith...
