After lots of research & studying caravanning & all that goes with it, we were planning to purchase our first caravan Autumn 2010 - but then we visited the showrooms again. We have viewed many triple bunk models & had shortlisted the Lunar Quasar 546 & Coachman 570/6, yesterday we were able to view them both together and have decided upon the 570/6 - we really want the triple bunk & prefer the separate shower cubicle. The Lunar's great but the quality of the Amara is definitely preferable to us. The salesman was very convincing advising us to beat the taxman and order pre-Jan 2010 & to order now to get one in time for Feb 2010 - we are now twitching & counting coffers!!!
The only area of concern I have is that the drainage for some reason is at the rear of the van which could be an issue - can anyone advise how problematic this could be & tips of how best to resolve or cope with it. Does anyone own this model - how have you found it - thank you for any advice you can offer
I would not be rushed into buying to save the vat. You will save £335 and if you are financing it then over a period this will hardly be noticed. If the money is in the bank then work out how much interest you will lose if your pay for it before you need it.
The seperate shower cubicleis a must and the quality of Coachman vans is better than Lunar (IMO).
As for the rear drainage, I wouldn't think it is a problem. You only have to slightly tip the caravan to correct any problem as opposed to side drainage which is more difficult to correct. We had one van which I diverted to the rear from the side and this worked out much better although we have had no problem with our existing side drainage.

Thank you its reassuring to hear that, I read on another forum that it could be a problem on very slopy pitches - I think we have finally found our perfect caravan! OH just needs persuading that an Isabella awning would really set it off!!
we own a coachman and we have never found an issue with the rear drainage. sure it can be a bit fiddly on a slopping pitch but we love our coachman. the build quilaty is second to none. go for it, if it sounds like a good deal....
We have also ordered the Amara 570/6 and currently have the 560/6. We were so pleased with our current Amara, that we could only consider Coachman for our next caravan. The waste pipes are always at the rear and I always joke with my husband that they keep them like this to give all the reviewers something to moan about, because otherwise they would get suspicious as the caravan would seem to be too perfect! Yes on some sites, you might be on such an angle that the waste tank is a bit too high, so all we do is use a longer length of waste pipe of about 3 metres and put the wastemaster at the side of the van. Easy! Go for it! We have in fact gone for the Kimberley Special Edition, which has much nicer fabric and lots of extras !
