The thing that gets me slightly (and I dont why it should) is that on "the other forum" Bailey answered comments from people asking about a Series 7 Senator or any planned updates to the 6 as people were interested but wanted to wait for the Sept/Oct changes. They said then there were no plans for an update but categorically didnt mention that the range was to be discontinued.
We have decided to stick with the Pagaent range. I do like certain things about the Pegasus but its not floating my boat 100% enough to buy one, also I dont really want to put the extra 50kg on the car + the extra £2k lets not forget.
Maybe next time, who knows. Some good comments made though!
I'm having a look now! Thanks. Still don't know if we're going to buy one, but it's the only one on our list - apart from an Adria which Mr Val A thinks is just too long!
The only one I can see on this month's ads is in West Lothian - Bill.... is this the one? Otherwise I'll go back and look further back in the October ads - but it's not an easy way to search is it!
Iwish we'd bought one then! We did have a look, but our old van was only five years old then and we weren't ready. Now we are they're discontinuing the model we like. Still we may just get a bargain if someone is trying to get rid of the last of their Senator stock, I suppose!
I saw a couple of Senators on the forecourt of the dealer in Stourport today including a California with the price tag in the window so to my mind its still for sale.
Interestingly, for all the comments about the Senator being discontinued, it's still the flagship model on Bailey's website and no mention is made that it's going to be scuppered. So, is this really official or just rumour and gossip?
We love our caravan and after looking round the pegasus at the NEC we thought it looked not quite finished off and as for the locker openers, they surely will not last five mins. I opened one of the lockers and the handle thing nearly came off in my hand.
Still everyone to their own, glad we got the senator!
