I would like to replace the seats in my Hoilvan as the foam feels a little flat now and not very supportive.
Being such a dinky little van, we will probably "live" in the awning more than the van itself. We have a lovely blow up settee to use in the awning plus table and chairs so the seats in the van would literally be used for sleeping and the occassional indoor chill out session!!

I was wondering if I would be better off replacing the foam seat bases with proper sprung mattresses with foam for the back rests or should I stick with foam for everything? Planning to make some new zip on covers.

Any thoughts or advice would be much appreciated.

I had ours done by Tockfield last winter and this season has been so much better both for sitting and sleeping.  It isn't cheap but has a 7 year guarantee IIRC.

Measure up what you want and they'll estimate on the phone for a variety of fillings and coverings.

Go to their website and input the sizes, voila, instant quote.

Ours was £600 for the main seating area but that was their top rated foam.  They have some that are considerably cheaper than that.

We used Tockfields to refill seats in our old van. The covers were sent away on a Tuesday morning, they were filled & back in the caravan by the Thursday lunch time. The quality of the workmanship was first class.

They used to offer interior sprung filling as well as foam so you'll be soilt for choice, we opted for the TCS filling & it was brilliant. We'll use them again without question.
