Re my last post, was only trying to be funny. Seriously though, when i'm fitting my mirror i lick the oul finger, moisten the edge of the sucker and apply slight pressure whilst tightening the knob, never moves. I also position the sucker to the top centre of the car mirror so as to leave enough of the mirror exposed to see right down the side of the car and caravan. Maybe they should be called " lick it and see "
I agree gypsy trucker, thats exactly what I do,travelled over 4000 miles this year and not once did they move, unlike the rubber band type which deposited itself on the motorway slip road less than a mile from setting out.We drive a Saab,so perhaps the curvier design of these mirrors aren't suitable for the rubber band type.Just like to add, have never experienced any vibration with the suck it and see mirrors,as opposed to other mirrors which I have tried. Cheers John.

I tried that as well!! Still no luck. In fact I dug out the mirror this morning and had a go on the new car - fell off after about a minute without even starting up.
