Have just bought a second hand (2006) Charisma 230 and honestly the only fault I can find is that the locker door situated above the cooker drops if left open, I did note however that it stayed in the up position much longer when cooker or hob was not operating, once cooker was up to temperature it wouldn't stay up for any length of time and door and food locker was actually warm to touch. It is also the only locker door to do this, and other 7 are no problem - stay up indefinitely.
Sorry if it sounds like a whinge when this is my only concern but twice I have experienced a very loud bang when door drops ----- so need to sort that!
Decided to look at old forum posts, searching on this topic and found that it does appear to be a common problem which, as some posts back in 2007 say can be solved by the fitting a third plastic hinge (I suppose to middle of door).
Before commiting to spend money (S.A.L.P.) I first plan to remove this doors two hinges knowing these have probably had more use than any of the other 7 locker doors as it is used for cooking items storage and then change over hinges with ientical ones from another locker. If it still has a problem then it must be the rising heat from the cooker "twisting" the door just enough to relax the plastic hinge mechanism.
Does anyone have any successful "fixes"
