Morning,
I need help!
I’m going round in circles looking for our new van, but we, (i.e my wife) have exact layout requirements which is making it long-winded...
We want the following;
4 berth with twin end fixed bunks
decent size lounge
air blown heating
year 2000+
max 1300kg
oven (optional, I could talk her out of that!)
costing upto £7000
I don’t really want to go to 6 berth with a side dinette, because the van gets a bit long then and we have to reverse it up the drive.
if you have bought anything like the above, or know of such a layout, please give me the name/model so I can look these up directly. I love the new Elddis Avante 464 but its way out of the price range….

I can't recall seeing a layout with fixed end bunks but without a side dinette - try the caravanfinder website - you can search by layout....

http://www.caravanfinder.co.uk/caravans.html and just down the page is a layout click so that you can find the layout that you want.

I think Avondale did the fixed end single beds?  We had the Leda Malvern which is a 6 berth but had long single beds at the back that could be converted to bunks.  With a small double bed at the front.  Another alternative is the 5 berth's where you can make a double bed up at the back (with a bunk over it, but you don't have to use it) and then the front can just be made up to singles?

Meant to add that ebay is a great place to find names for the caravans you think might suit.  I narrowed down my choices just by looking at the pics on there but bought elsewhere

The Adria 542UK (5 birth) and that should tick most of your boxes.

It has full size fixed bunks at the rear(running the along the side as opposed to the back) but does also have a side dinette opposite which gives the kids their own area to sit at if there is only 4 of you. This dinette is very big and we quite often left the front lounge set up as a bed and used the dinette to seat four(2 adult,2 children). The back has a pull across partition so the kids can be shut off at night.

The front lounge is C shape so has plenty of space.

It doesn't have an oven but one of the units will take a microwave/convection oven where the TV would go .The TV was very easily wall mounted.

You could pick up a 2008 for around £7000 and is 1300 KG fully laden. It has alloys, shocks and is very easy to tow as it has a long drawbar. It has blown air heating

We loved the Adria so much we bought another one but this is a 6 birth and we now have 5 so the dinette will be used as a table(like the way we used the 542UK)

How many of you are there?  An end dinette is ideal for families, effectively a 5 berth as it has an end bunk too. The Bailey Auvergne is the same layout I am thinking of.

We found this site very useful when we were last looking.

Its a pity it is not up to date.

Geist 495 also sounds about what you are looking for.  I think it comes in under thw weight you require.  Fixed bunks and rear single dinette...nice layout for a family.

Try Caravan Finder and search under the Layout option.  Very useful.
